Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager is a key member of the finance and accounting team, responsible for overseeing various financial activities, including financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate and distribute periodic financial reports to management and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Record and review journal entries, adjusting entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Assist in the development and management of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and recommendations as needed.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and financial planning.
  • Prepare and review tax returns and related schedules, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors or auditors as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during the audit process.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • Streamline accounting procedures and internal controls to minimize risk.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Assist in managing the workload and priorities of the finance and accounting team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is often preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and VAT filings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
